What is Sports Fest?
Sports Fest is an annual event organized by the Vietnamese Alliance Youth (VAY) that brings together hundreds of young people from all over Southern California. It is a time of celebration and a chance to live out the Great Commandment and Commission lifestyle on the athletic field. There are multiple sports competitions ranging from basketball, volleyball, and table tennis, to track and field, tug-o-war, and Bible Jeopardy. There is also a Scripture Memorization competition. In addition to the sports activities, there are Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony, and Chapel Services with worship and teachings. Sports Fest has been a tradition for almost five decades and is a great opportunity for young people to build relationships and enjoy an exciting weekend of athletics and spiritual growth.
